Bronze Olympic Medals Allegedly Cost RM58 ONLY

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, gold medals are touted as the most valuable in Olympic history, estimated at an impressive US$950 (RM4,250). Surprisingly, beneath their gold appearance, these medals are primarily composed of 95.4 percent silver, with only a thin gold coating. 

Bronze olympic medals allegedly cost RM58 only 

Silver medals weigh more at 525 grams and are valued at US$486 (RM2,174), while bronze medals, made from a blend of copper, zinc, and iron, are worth just US$13 (RM58). 

American skateboarder Nyjah Huston, despite securing his first Olympic medal, criticised the bronze’s quality, highlighting the debate over value and sentiment.
