Marvel has unveiled a new superhero, Jitter, also known as Sofia Yong, in their latest “Uncanny X-Men” series debuting in August 2024. Revealed on Singapore’s National Day, Jitter is part of a team called “the Outliers,” featuring characters with invisible disabilities.

Jitter’s unique power, “hyper-focus,” allows her to acquire any skill or talent for up to a minute before experiencing a “crash.” She keeps a stopwatch to manage her time effectively. Created by Gail Simone and illustrated by David Marquez, Jitter is described as dynamic and cool, highlighting the diverse representation of mutants in the Marvel universe.
