“If the police hand over the body of my late wife, Istiqomah Ahmad Rozi for the funeral, I don’t want to see it because I can’t bear to see it cut into pieces like that…,” says her husband, Mohd Yusof Mokhtar to a local daily. “I can’t bear to see the state of my wife’s body that has been cut into several parts, so let other family members handle the funeral until it is shrouded,” he adds.

Istiqomah murder
On January 6, the media reported the discovery of a woman’s body without a head, both hands and feet, in a garbage bin on the side of the Alor Gajah-Tampin road near Kampung Tanjung Rimau Luar, Pulau Sebang, Melaka at about 2 pm.
On Monday, the police finally identified the decapitated body of a woman found in a drain near Alor Gajah, Melaka on December 31 last year. The victim was named as 33-year-old primary school teacher and mother of three, Istiqomah Ahmad Rozi.
