MYAirline Sdn Bhd has been ordered by the High Court to pay RM17.7 million to Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd and Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd for overdue airport service charges.
MYAirline liable for millions in unpaid fees
The lawsuit, initiated on October 18, 2023, accused MYAirline of failing to pay six types of fees, including passenger service, landing, and parking fees. Despite repeated requests for payment, the airline did not settle its liabilities or dispute the charges.
On August 16, 2024, the court ruled in favour of the airport operators, concluding that MYAirline had clearly utilised the services and was responsible for the overdue amount.
