A Malaysia Airlines flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur, MH128, was diverted to Alice Springs Airport on August 19 due to a technical issue. The Airbus A330-300 landed safely at 4:35 a.m. local time, about 1,800 kilometers from Melbourne.
