Man narrowly escapes death as flying lorry tire hits motorbike

In Petaling Jaya, a man was thrown onto the road when a tire unexpectedly flew toward his motorcycle. The incident occurred around 11:46 a.m. near Simpang Taman Bukit Seputeh, close to Mid Valley shopping center. Dashcam footage, which went viral on social media, shows the tire—believed to be from a heavy vehicle—hitting the motorcyclist and sending him and his bike spinning.

The tire also struck the front of the dashcam owner’s vehicle. While the motorcyclist survived, he sustained severe injuries, including to his head. The vehicle owner, Elmi, expressed relief that he managed to avoid hitting the injured man, who repeatedly asked for his glasses.
