Apparently, the beef between Samsung and Apple is far from over. The battle ground is our newly famous TRX mall, as the two brands are competing for recognition among the public. The California tech giant allegedly made a deal with the mall to not allow other companies to promote their phones.

The Samsung Galaxy Station in response to Apple’s iconic Malaysia Store is wild. Samsung’s advertising seriously attacked Apple so hard. Apple opened its first store in Malaysia, but Samsung bought out all the advertising space in the nearest train station. Not just that, but Samsung literally had the station renamed to, “The Samsung Galaxy Station.” To get to the new Apple Store, consumers have to walk through “the Samsung Galaxy Station” past nonstop Samsung Galaxy ads. Samsung wasn’t even supposed to be allowed to do this, but found a legal loophole that allowed them to pull it off. This isn’t the first time Samsung has taken shots at Apple either. When Apple released its “Crush” ad that received so much hate on social media, Samsung made a statement. They put out their own video titled “Uncrush,” with the tagline, “Creativity cannot be crushed.” #advertising #marketing #business #guerillamarketing

Some users feel that these two brands are being petty with each other. Samsung then decided to rent the MRT Station’s name and space. The station name is now Tun Razak Exchange, Samsung Galaxy. 

Users feel that seeing Samsung advertisements plastered all over the MRT stations would defeat the purpose of the California’s tech giant’s alleged advert ban for other phone brands in TRX Mall.
