A 50-year-old man in Perlis was caught frequently filling up with RON95 petrol at various stations, leading authorities to uncover his involvement in the illegal diversion of subsidized fuel. His arrest revealed that he had modified his vehicle’s fuel tanks to carry out the illicit activity.
Man Arrested

During the arrest, authorities discovered 250 liters of subsidized petrol in two modified tanks and two jerry cans inside the vehicle. The raid was conducted by seven enforcement officers from the Perlis Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). The suspect is now under investigation under the Supply Control Act 1961.
