Liek Hou, 36, showcased his experience and composure to retain the title he first won at Tokyo 2020, earning Malaysia’s first gold in Paris. Suryo, hindered by a right knee injury, struggled throughout the match. In other events, Wong Kar Gee narrowly missed a podium finish in the men’s long jump T12, while Nur Syaiful Zulkafli advanced to the men’s 100m breaststroke SB4 final in swimming.
