Hackers release 300GB of private files online in Prasarana cyberattack

Prasarana Holdings Bhd, a key Malaysian public transportation provider, has suffered a significant data breach, with over 300GB of private files now publicly accessible following a ransomware attack. The cybercriminal group RansomHub claimed responsibility, demanding an undisclosed ransom by August 25, which Prasarana reportedly did not pay. As a result, RansomHub published sensitive company documents, including data related to revenue, projects, Touch ‘n Go information, and human resources. The attack highlights the escalating threat of cybercrime against critical infrastructure, with severe implications for both corporate security and public trust.
