An X user states that prior to this, they were told to boycott Muslim owned American restaurant franchises due to the conflict in the Middle East. But now, even local restaurants are lumped into the mix.

X users add that the logic some people have is that the premises need to have a Halal certificate for them to be able to eat there despite them not serving pork or alcohol. X users add that if this logic is correct, that means home cooked meals would need to be certified as Halal too.
