Malaysian authorities have rescued 402 children, aged one to 17, from 20 care homes linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business (GISB). The raids, involving nearly 1,000 personnel, were conducted in Selangor and Negri Sembilan following reports of abuse, neglect, and sexual harassment. Police arrested 171 suspects, including Islamic religious teachers and caretakers, amid allegations that some children were sexually abused and forced to harm others. Many children were denied medical treatment until their conditions became critical, and others were reportedly burned with hot spoons. The investigation is ongoing.
