The Malaysian government has revised its civil service entry requirements to align with recent changes in national education policy. The minimum qualification for numerous positions has now been elevated from the Pentaksiran Tingkatan Tiga (PT3) or Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) to the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
