Renowned Lithuanian street artist Ernest Zacharevic is returning to Penang’s Armenian Street to restore three iconic murals he created in 2012. His works, such as the famous “Children on a Bicycle,” played a significant role in boosting Penang’s tourism and cultural heritage. Supported by the Penang government, the artist agreed to restore the murals on Armenian, Ah Quee, and Cannon Streets, which have weathered over time. His art helped establish George Town as a global street art destination, even earning a spot in Lonely Planet’s prestigious Street Art book in 2017 as the only Asian city featured.
