The Perlis government is taking action to eliminate deviant Islamic teachings spread by Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH). Perlis Mufti Datuk Mohd Asri Zainul Abidi called the group cult-like, accusing them of deifying individuals and misleading followers. He emphasized the need to eradicate such beliefs, which contradict the Quran and Sunnah. Police have raided 20 GISBH-linked welfare homes amid reports of child exploitation and deviant practices, rescuing over 500 unregistered children. Mohd Asri stressed that eliminating these teachings requires society to focus on authentic Islamic knowledge and reject blind fanaticism.
