Some users argue that it is unfair to criticise these names while allowing foreign brands to keep theirs. DBKL’s alleged involvement was noted, as these stores would have needed approval for their signboards. 

Others pointed out areas in Kuala Lumpur requiring genuine attention, like sidewalks overgrown with grass, hindering pedestrian access.
