When the bill arrived, he was surprised by the extra charge. He lodged a complaint with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, highlighting the unexpected cost.
The restaurant owner defended the charge, citing operational costs and arguing it was reasonable. The owner also noted this was the first complaint received about the charge, which was introduced months ago.
