SHAH ALAM – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan criticised Belanjawan 2025, claiming it lacks a clear guiding philosophy. He argued that the budget fails to provide a coherent framework, making it unclear what direction the government aims to take. While the minimum wage increase to RM1,700 was announced, Wan Saiful questioned the absence of policies to expand economic opportunities to help employers manage these costs. He also expressed concern over RON95 subsidy cuts and the lack of initiatives to mitigate the impact on the supply chain and cost of living, highlighting the budget’s shortcomings.
