A tragic accident on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) claimed the life of a driver and injured a passenger after their car skidded and caught fire. The incident occurred around 8 am, with emergency services dispatched shortly after. Bystanders pulled the victims from the Toyota Vios before it was fully engulfed. The injured passenger was sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, while the driver’s body was handed to the police. This accident follows other recent car fire incidents, including one in April where two lives were lost on Bukit Mantin Road and another involving a BMW on the Kesas Highway.
