Perhaps the most interesting video is on the government’s intent to implement a targeted removal of the fuel subsidy next year. The point made in the video is that subsidies are regressive and a bad way to spend government or public money. However, those debating may have got carried away. Do they mean subsidies are regressive and they benefit only a group? Because the Malaysia RON95 subsidy benefits everyone…Maybe Minister Rafizi Ramli can come and clarify if they meant removing the subsidies is going to be regressive or the subsidies are in nature regressive?
