Chow Yu Hui (PH-Raub) highlighted that from 2004 to 2018, the government spent RM8.4 billion on the National Service Training Program (PLKN), raising various concerns regarding its implementation, effectiveness, and associated costs. He noted that PLKN requires substantial funding, and in the current economic climate, Malaysia is still recovering from the pandemic, facing financial challenges, high living costs, and inflationary pressures.
