Malaysia’s Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, responded humorously on social media after former Fox News host Tucker Carlson mistakenly called US presidential candidate Kamala Harris “Samoan-Malaysian.”

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Mr. Carlson. We were not aware that a Malaysian was running for the office of the US President,” Mohamad wrote on Facebook. “Should Puan Kamala win the race, we are delighted to invite her to #balikkampung and try some #nasigorengUSA.”
Carlson’s comment at a Trump rally sparked controversy, misrepresenting Harris’ heritage in a bid to question her credibility as a candidate.
