Starbucks Malaysia has refuted claims that it closed over 100 outlets nationwide, clarifying that only a few stores have permanently ceased operations while most affected locations are temporarily closed for strategic reassessment. A Starbucks representative stated that no employees were laid off, as they were reassigned to nearby stores. Starbucks Malaysia emphasized that its business remains stable, with sales improving as customers recognize the falsity of recent allegations against the brand. Additionally, the representative reiterated that Starbucks has never been on the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) list, aiming to dispel misinformation circulating online.
