KUALA LUMPUR: Nooryana Najwa, daughter of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, has called her father’s recent court ruling “unfair,” claiming he is the sole person facing punishment for the 1MDB scandal, despite the involvement of many others. Real criminals are still free, she meant. The High Court recently ordered Najib to defend himself against four charges of using his position to secure RM2.3 billion in 1MDB funds and 21 charges of money laundering. Sharing her frustration on Instagram, Nooryana stated, “Only one person is paying the price. This is not justice. The real masterminds remain free.” She urged her father to “never lose hope” and stay resilient.
