Police have arrested a 39-year-old foreign national in Keningau, Sabah, for allegedly beating a dog to death with an iron rod. District police chief Yampil Garai reported they were alerted to a viral video of the incident yesterday afternoon, which was determined to have occurred at a workshop in Kampung Patikang, Keningau. The case is being investigated under Section 428 of the Penal Code for animal cruelty, which carries a penalty of up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both upon conviction.
