During the meeting, the whistleblower’s lawyer presented a brief 17-second audio clip revealing a conversation about money among several individuals. Azam urged the whistleblower to file an official report to activate protection under the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010, explaining that legal immunity cannot be guaranteed without a full report detailing the misconduct. Azam clarified that protection under the Act requires an official disclosure of the alleged improper conduct before immunity can be considered.
