A concerned parent recently reported an incident to the Selangor Education Department with regards to teachers allegedly selling life insurance to students. Apparently, if a student wants to receive a prefect or school peer position, they’d need to buy said insurance.

Netizens shocked teachers allegedly selling insurance to children 

Some are alleging that those in position could possibly be insurance agents. It is unclear how expensive the package is, but there are plenty of parents that would not be able to afford such prices. 

Others placed more doubts on vernacular schools as they feel in the standard national schools, this would most likely not happen.
