Tesla has announced a significant milestone: the production of 1,000 Powerwall 3 units in a single day at its Gigafactory Nevada. The achievement marks an impressive pace for the company’s energy storage division, yet it raises questions, as Tesla had recently indicated an even higher production capability. Back in August, Tesla showcased its unit production line in a promotional video, asserting the ability to produce 700,000 units annually. This figure translates to nearly 2,000 units per day, more than double the milestone Tesla now celebrates. If Tesla maintains its current production rate of 1,000 units per day, the annual output would amount to roughly 365,000 units. Tesla’s production scale-up is noteworthy, as it once took the company eight years to reach a cumulative total of 500,000 Powerwalls.
