KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 7 shuttler Lee Zii Jia made a strong push toward qualifying for the World Tour Finals, advancing to the Kumamoto Masters quarter-finals. Recovering from a recent ankle strain, Zii Jia fought back to defeat Taiwan’s world No. 34 Su Li Yang 19-21, 21-8, 21-16 in 63 minutes. Next, he faces Indonesian rival Jonatan Christie, world No. 6, with their head-to-head record currently tied at 5-5.
