In a heart-wrenching tragedy, 21-year-old Lee Zi Rou made a final, desperate call to her mother moments before her life was crushed under a cargo container. “Mummy! It hurts so much!” she gasped. Her mother, Lim, immediately sensed something was terribly wrong but was met only with silence after asking where her daughter was. The accident occurred at the Jalan Bukit Tengah traffic light junction, where a lorry’s out-of-control turn caused the container to topple onto Lee’s car. By the time Lim reached the scene, it was too late. Lee’s call ended at 9:30 am, marking her final moments.
