PETALING JAYA, Nov 21 — Malaysian women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah secured a confident win in the first round of the China Masters, defeating China’s Ding Keyun and Wang Yiduo 21-16, 21-14. The world No. 6 duo rebounded strongly after an early exit at the Japan Masters last week.

Though pleased with the victory, the fifth-seeded pair acknowledged areas needing improvement, citing early mistakes during the match. Thinaah emphasized staying calm and enjoying their play as key to their progress. Pearly echoed her remarks, focusing on refining their performance for the upcoming second-round match.
