A Singaporean man, identified as “Mr Ho,” was arrested for making a false bomb threat targeting a Thai AirAsia flight at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport. The incident, which occurred Thursday, delayed Flight FD 3114 to Hat Yai, disrupting 162 passengers and six crew members. Ho, who overstayed his visa by 28 days, confessed, citing family stress. He faces prosecution under Thailand’s Air Navigation Act, risking up to 15 years in prison, fines, deportation, and blacklisting. Thai authorities condemned the act, emphasizing its significant consequences for safety and public trust in air travel systems.
