A dispute over parking spaces between three neighbours led to an entire Cheras street receiving RM30,000 in fines from the local council. The disagreement began with one household reporting others for using plastic items to block parking spots.

This escalated when another neighbour complained about parked cars, prompting law enforcement to issue fines. City Councillor Tan Kah Hoe visited the street, advocating for compromise and tolerance. 

He noted that fines could be cancelled with proof of residency. He stressed that the issue was more about attitude than lack of parking spaces.
