TNB Cuts Power to Eleven Substations Due to Flooding

Eleven electricity substations were shut down tonight due to worsening floods in Kota Bharu, Machang, and Tanah Merah. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) stated that the electricity supply was cut for consumer safety.

Affected areas include G-Orange, Sekolah Kebangsaan Kadok, and Taman Sri Kulim in Kota Bharu, and DPS 9-12, BELB Sungai Gali, Tasek Pauh Brick Factory, and Yik Tualang Tinggi in Pasir Puteh. The public is urged to avoid submerged electrical installations.

Additionally, three Pasir Mas District Council offices closed due to flooding, with staff working remotely until further notice.
