Floods worsen
KUALA LUMPUR – Flood conditions in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis worsened during the night, with a rise in evacuees, while Johor saw improvements as its last temporary evacuation center closed earlier today.
Kelantan recorded a significant increase, with 50,947 victims displaced across 207 shelters, up from 42,868 this afternoon. Pasir Mas reported the highest number at 18,828 evacuees, followed by Tumpat (7,149), Kota Bharu (4,525), and Kuala Krai (4,753).
In Terengganu, evacuees rose to 17,762 across 206 shelters, up from 14,111 earlier. Besut reported the highest number, with 7,263 victims at 81 shelters. Authorities continue monitoring the situation closely.
