The parents of autistic child Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, charged with neglect likely to cause physical harm, have submitted a representation to the Attorney-General Chambers (AGC) to review the charge.
Representation Filed to Review Charges Against Zayn Rayyan’s Parents
Lawyer Fahmi Abd Moin, representing Zaim Ikhwan Zahari and Ismanira Abdul Manaf, filed the representation on Nov 19. The Petaling Jaya Sessions Court set Dec 6 for case management and trial dates for next year.
Zaim and Ismanira pleaded not guilty to neglecting their child between Dec 5 and 6, 2023. Zayn’s body was found in a stream, with autopsy results indicating self-defense injuries.
