Police deploy helicopters to aid Kelantan flood relief centres now

PASIR MAS: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are using helicopters to deliver food and supplies to nine flood-affected temporary relief centers (PPS) in Kelantan cut off by rising waters. Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat confirmed deliveries have begun, prioritizing critical needs.

Seven disconnected PPS are in Pengkalan Kubur, Tumpat, with others in Lubuk Jong and Rantau Panjang. The PDRM helicopters also transported patients and the elderly to hospitals.

Heavy vehicles from the Malaysian Armed Forces are on standby to assist, especially for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates requiring transport. Authorities are prepared to request additional air support if needed.
