Defending champions Manchester City have been grouped with Juventus, Al Ain (UAE), and Wydad AC (Morocco) for the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea, meanwhile, face Flamengo, Esperance Sportive de Tunis, and Club Leon (Mexico). The expanded 32-team tournament will be held in the United States next summer, beginning June 15. Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami will play the opener against Egypt’s Al Ahly. If City and Chelsea win their groups, they would be placed on opposite sides of the knockout bracket, potentially meeting in the final. The draw, conducted by Alessandro Del Piero, unveiled FIFA’s new trophy.
