The Sabah Forestry Department (SFD) has denied allegations in two Sarawak Report articles about illegal logging in the state. The articles, published on December 1 and 3, falsely cited an SFD press release. SFD called the reports malicious and plans to file a police report.
Sabah Forestry Denies Illegal Logging Claims
The department refuted claims of improper timber dues and is addressing the Ceratocystis wilt disease outbreak with the Sabah Foundation. The issue was discussed in the State Legislative Assembly last month.
