KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia is expected to face a second wave of floods from Sunday to December 14, according to forecasts by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stated that Pahang and Johor are among the states likely to be heavily affected this time.
Wave of flood
Preparedness measures, including the mobilization of assets, personnel, and equipment, have already been arranged.
Zahid commended NGOs for their extraordinary cooperation in post-flood clean-up efforts, emphasizing that the Social Welfare Department (JKM) will coordinate these initiatives nationwide.
He spoke at the launch of a flood aid mission on Saturday.
