A 56-year-old kindergarten teacher, Aznon Sapin @ Mohd Said, passed away on December 7 in Johor, five days after being bitten by a black-necked spitting cobra. The incident occurred on December 2 while Aznon was tidying the kitchen after a family event. After the bite, she became unconscious and was rushed to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital, where doctors performed CPR to revive her. Aznon remained unconscious for several days before passing away in the hospital. She was buried later that day after Zohor prayers. Her daughter, Nur Fatihah Najwa, described the heartbreaking ordeal and her mother’s final moments.
