An Australian man, Moncrieff Marli Curtis Philip, has been charged with making threats to crash a Jetstar flight departing from Changi Airport on November 20. The 36-year-old allegedly made alarming statements to cabin crew, repeating his threats at the immigration counter and a holding room. Arrested by police, he faces two charges under Singapore’s Protection from Harassment Act, with potential fines of up to $5,000 per charge. Authorities have impounded his passport, and Australian officials were notified to prevent issuing a replacement.
