There has been a discussion regarding the cost of goods being extremely inflated in the country. A viral video showed a local woman selling ice cream for RM18 which grinds the gears of many users. Then, others normalised ice cream that cost RM9, which many feel is still expensive.
Netizens state stop normalising nasi lemak selling for RM15
Nasi lemak is arguably one of the favourite dishes in Malaysia. Netizens say that the average price of said dish becoming RM15 is outrageous. The dish should not cost more than RM5 if there’s no chicken or other forms of meat.
Another user adds that cutting sugar water while dining out has saved them a lot of money as some establishments may charge RM10-20 for a glass of coca cola.
