Malaysian actress Rozita Che Wan (Che Ta), 51, and her son Ammar Effendy, 28, face bankruptcy proceedings by MARA for failing to repay a RM960,000 loan taken in 2017 through her company, RCW Worldwide Sdn Bhd. Despite multiple opportunities to restructure and repay, Rozita has not settled the debt, even after a court ruling in May 2022. MARA initiated legal action, including a writ of seizure and sale (WSS) at her Kota Damansara residence, confiscating items like a car, furniture, and household items for auction. MARA stresses that the measures, including bankruptcy, are necessary to recover funds for public benefit.
