Malaysia’s men’s doubles duo Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani made history at the World Tour Finals in Hangzhou, becoming the first Malaysian pair to reach the final since the tournament’s inception in 2018. In a gripping 81-minute match, the world No. 7 pair overcame Indonesia’s world No. 4 duo, Muhammad Fajar Alfian and Rian Ardianto, with a 17-21, 21-16, 27-25 victory. Saving six match points, they secured their fourth World Tour final appearance this year after winning three major titles in 2024. Goh and Izzuddin now aim for the US$210,000 grand prize in tomorrow’s final.
