Malaysia and Thailand have agreed to strengthen economic collaborations in areas such as rubber, tourism, halal and digital industries, energy grid, gas supply, and border management.

Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Paetongtarn Shinawatra encouraged deeper cooperation through the 2023 MoU between Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency and Malaysia’s Digital Economy Corporation.

They also support joint campaigns to promote tourism and further discussions on the ‘Six Countries, One Destination’ scheme. Both leaders emphasized developing the halal economy, cross-border infrastructure, and enhancing bilateral trade and connectivity.
