Selangor executive council member Ng Suee Lim will propose a no-kill policy for stray animals at the state assembly in February 2025. This follows a meeting on December 13, 2024, with Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung, policy advisors, and animal welfare NGOs.

The “No-Kill Policy” ensures captured strays are neutered, vaccinated, and released. NGOs also proposed the TNVRM program for humane stray management.

Other suggestions included conditional dog licensing and standardized fees for reclaiming captured dogs. Ng, supported by Lee and NGOs, aims to implement these proposals as a significant step toward humane animal management.
