TikTok’s latest “Government Removal Requests Report” reveals that the Malaysian Government sent the highest number of content removal requests from January 1 to June 30, 2024. Malaysia made 2,606 requests, far exceeding Indonesia’s 778 requests. 

Malaysia Leads in TikTok Content Removal Requests

Malaysia also topped the list for the most content and accounts taken action against due to local law and community guidelines violations, with 5,296 content and 2,080 accounts. This significant activity underscores the government’s strict monitoring of online content.
