PUTRAJAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will focus on combating procurement corruption, enforcement-related misconduct, and grand corruption in 2025 to boost economic growth, reduce leakages, and recover misappropriated assets. MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki announced plans for structural transformation, emphasizing improved work approaches, mindset shifts, and enhanced professionalism among officers. A key initiative includes rebranding the Inspection and Consultation Division (PERUN) into the Governance Investigation Division (BPT) to ensure actionable findings from governance investigations. Azam highlighted the importance of closing gaps for corruption while strengthening governance and integrity to create impactful results in the fight against corruption.
