An elderly housewife, Jariton Sa’adiah Buhari, 63, has claimed trial at the Sessions Court for allegedly concealing RM170,000 belonging to Chia Min Min, 48. The money was transferred into her Maybank account between February 14 and March 8, 2024.

Charged under Section 424 of the Penal Code, she faces up to five years in prison, a fine, or both. Deputy Public Prosecutor Atiqa Nazihah Azmi proposed a RM20,000 bail, but the judge set it at RM10,000.
The accused, an unemployed single mother of four, must report to the police monthly and surrender her passport. The case mention is set for February 5.
